This is a house in the northern part of Hyogo Prefecture for a couple and their two children. The construction site is a part of a place surrounded by mountains and the sky is overcast most of the days.
The competition entry places a contemporary, down-to-earth public building at the heart of the metropolis, with a strong reference to the Finnish building tradition. The design shows a building entirely made of Finnish pinewood.

WEDGE-1 is the latest of architectonic explorations by the firm in creating projects which are highly refined in architectural morphology and yet fulfilling the programmatic agenda of the brief.
