The opening of the hub building over the weekend means the award-winning architectural practice is the only architect to date to have delivered an Olympic venue – the Copper Box Arena – as well as a legacy venue.

The Dalí Museum design by HOK, Architects on a scenic waterfront site in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. The 68,000-sqft building doubles the size of the original 1982 Dalí Museum, a one-story warehouse. Exhibits include oils, watercolors, sketches, sculptures and other works from a 2,140-piece permanent collection. The $30m building stands more than 75 feet tall and is adorned by 1,062 unique, triangular glass panels.

Nka Foundation invites entries for Mud House Design 2014, an international architecture competition open to recent graduates and students of architecture, design and others from around the world who think earth architecture can be beautiful. The challenge is to design a single-family unit of about 30 x 40 feet (approximately 10 x 12 metres) to be built by maximum use of earth and local labor in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
