“The Art of Architecture” will be staged at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre from 4th April to 29th June 2014, with Permasteelisa being a major partner of the exhibition.
Bangkok, 2014 – Following the success in China and Malaysia last year, the exhibition celebrating the historic and most representative projects of Norman Foster’s architecture practice is now open in Bangkok.
“The Art of Architecture” will be staged in the Main Gallery of the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre from 4th April to 29th June 2014. It is a real journey among some of the most characteristic projects developed by Foster + Partners, many of which have been developed with the support of Permasteelisa, a major partner of the exhibition together with Magnolia.
Foster + Partners Art of Architecture Exhibition at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre:
The exhibition tells the story of the variety and complexity of projects developed by the architecture practice based in London over the years, from infrastructures to urban design, as well as a few iconic landmarks: the Millau viaduct in France, the “Gherkin” in London and Beijing Airport. Foster’s art of architecture is shown through 80 projects described by means of sketches, pictures, drawings and scale models.
Foster + Partners Art of Architecture Exhibition Bangkok:
“Supporting this exhibition is a way of collaborating with a historic partner with whom over 30 projects have been developed in the last 20 years”, says Massimiliano Fanzaga, Head of Corporate Communication. Cooperation with Foster + Partners still continues today for projects in America, Europe and the Middle East”. Among projects already completed, the following ones will be displayed at “The Art of Architecture”: the Hearst Tower in New York, a commercial skyscraper completed in 2006, whose unique design is made up of glass and aluminium lozenges; the Commerzbank Tower in Frankfurt, built in 1997 and characterized by the three Skygardens modulating the main building characteristics; Hong Kong International Airport completed in 1998 for which Permasteelisa supplied the interior fittings; finally, the glass and steel wavy roof of the Robert and Arlene Kogod Courtyard – Smithsonian museum in Washington, which also appears in the official logo of the exhibition.
