Cove Burgess Architects have remodelled a distressed business park in High Wycombe and integrated a contemporary new kiosk to further enhance the area. The 150,000sqft Kingsmead Business Park, which houses a number of businesses in the region, was in much need of an upgrade and a cohesive architectural language.

The beautifully designed single story kiosk has become the focal point of the refurbished park and serves as a vibrant new hub for the public. It houses a café and new security facilities and sits within a small landscaped square. The roof of the café has been extended to provide a sheltered all weather external space.

A new entrance has also been created to give the park a presence and the buildings arranged within new soft landscaping throughout the site.

Cove Burgess Director, Daniel Cove, commented: ‘Business parks tend to be thought of as rather windswept and bleak places with minimum attention to the design or aesthetics. We have remodelled the Kingsmead Park into a valuable asset providing a public plaza, a café, new entrance and visibility from the main road. Since the completion of the project, the park has yielded an impressive 45% more lettings; from half empty to 95% let.’
