From 1 March, projects can be submitted for the Tubądzin Design Awards. This is the fourth edition of the competition. This year, TDA is guided by the idea of designing to meet global challenges, which is reflected in an additional, special competition category – CULTURE FORM.
The prize pool is EUR 78,000.
The Tubądzin Design Awards competition organised by the Tubądzin Group since 2015 is a competition for architects, designers and students from all over the world. In the new edition, you can compete for the GRAND PRIX in 4 categories: Young Power, Everyday Design, Unlimited Architecture and the special category CultureFORM, which was created with the idea of the culture of space and emphasising the value of communing with art in the modern world. Prizes will also be awarded to the winners of the individual stages.
In addition to financial prizes, the winners will receive inspiring awards, including trips to Tokyo and to the most important design fair, the Salone de Mobile in Milan. Students and young designers will be offered a two-week internship at the Martin Duplantier Architectes studio in Paris.
In the CultureFORM special category, in addition to a cash prize, the winner will have the opportunity to join the prestigious team of artists associated with the Teatr Wielki – National Opera in Warsaw and co-create the setting and scenography of the show.
The competition entries in the three main categories will be judged by an international jury made up of eminent personalities from the world of art, architecture and design: Allan Starski – stage designer for film and theatre, Academy Award winner (chairman of the TDA jury), Martin Duplantier – chairman of the French Architectural Council, Melike Altinişik – architect from Turkey, founder of Melike Altinisik Architects, Małgorzata Szczepańska – editor-in-chief and creative director of Elle Decoration, and Tomasz Smus – Tubądzin brand architect.
The CultureFORM category will be judged by Davide Macullo – founder of Davide Macullo Architects in Lugano, Marta Sowińska-Gąska – architect, winner of the Grad Prix TDA 2020, and Ewa Kryszkiewicz – manager of the development and cooperation with architects department at the Tubądzin Group.
The call for entries for the Tubądzin Design Awards will run from 1 March to 31 November 2022 and consists of three stages.
