Reshape Forum 2017 in Barcelona
The Reshape Forum will be host at IN(3D)USTRY – From Needs to Solutions. The event will focus on the applications and implications of innovative approaches applied to the field of Fashion and Wearable Technology. The Reshape Forum will be structured in a series of presentations, panel discussions, conferences and exhibition.

The winners of Reshape competition will meet with entrepreneurs, experts from the field of education and research to present their work and propose their solutions to market needs.
The winners will present their proposals for RESHAPE 17 | programmable skins competition to the audience of In(3d)ustry – from needs to solutions. It will be an important appointment to discover cutting-edge projects and innovative strategies to revolutionize the Fashion industry.
Reshape Round Table
A panel of experts with a specialized background in fashion, product design and wearable technology will examine and discuss the future impact these strategies will generate on the Market.

We want to celebrate our designers in the main stage of In(3D)ustry – from needs to solutions. Join us for this ceremony and let’s discover together who will be the final winner of Reshape 17 | programmable skins competition.

Prizes Announced for Reshape Design Contest 2017
RESHAPE is happy to announce the prizes for the RESHAPE 17 | wearable technology competition.
The total prize is 2700 €, which will be distributed among the first, second and third winner accordingly.
FIRST PRIZE – 1500 €
2ND PRIZE – 700 €
3RD PRIZE – 500 €
Apart from the winners, the jury will select 5-7 honorable mentions which, together with the winners, will be included in the online platform of RESHAPE. In the website there will be a direct link to each project with information of each designer.
RESHAPE & IN(3D)USTRY From Needs to Solutions
This year, due to Reshape’s collaboration with IN(3D)USTRY From Needs to Solutions, the selected projects will have the opportunity to be part of:
Within the event organized by Fira Barcelona, IN(3D)USTRY – From needs to Solutions and Reshape will set up a panel with experts to promote specific topics of the design innovation, offering exposure to the market and the industrial field.
The winning projects will be exibithed in the IN(3D)USTRY – From Needs to Solutions event, organized by Fira de Barcelona, offering exposure to the winners in the retail sector.
RESHAPE CORNER 1:1
Meetings among entrepreneurs and designers will be held, to trigger new ideas into the market and promote investments in innovative, computational focused projects, with feasible prototyping strategies.
Reshape will award the winners of the international competition, exhibiting their projects as part of the Retail sector of IN(3D)USTRY – From needs to solutions, within the event organized by Fira de Barcelona.

Jury Announced for Reshape Design Contest 2017
RESHAPE 17 is very pleased to introduce the international jury of this competition. A panel of experts from the fields of fashion design, digital fabrication and computation, will select the three winning proposals. All projects will be evaluated on a scale from 1 to 10 according to the following categories:
Significant attention will be given to those projects that reconsider the idea of conventional clothing in an inventive and experimental way, establishing interconnections between users, environment and data.
Reshape aims to merge both design and making in a complete creative process: Therefore, each design approach mush present a clear fabrication strategy, materializing design solutions with tools that are available in a Fab Lab or Maker Space.
In order to produce a real impact it is crucial to set a dissemination strategy, proposing convincing scenarios of implementation for each proposal.

Reshape Design Contest News
Reshape is an online platform promoting research, design and production of digital ideas, exploring implications and applications of technology and innovation in our society. Representing an international community of designers, makers and customers inspired by innovation, Reshape intends to establish a new worldwide network of ideas and creativity able to shift the production paradigm.
Reshape has launched RESHAPE 17 | wearable technology competition, focusing on wearables as an active, supplemental skin that not only protect our body but also facilitate functions such as growth, movement, respiration and nutrition or rehabilitate the environment. The proposals will focus on wearables as a prosthetic skin providing augmented functions. RESHAPE 17 goes beyond ubiquitous computing, towards integrated and holistic strategies with the objective to move beyond electronics, in favor of programmable materials.
Participants must submit their entries via e-mail on/or before 30th of June 2017 at 23:59 (UTC/GMT +1 hour).

RESHAPE Digital Craft Contest News
This architectural competition has selected various innovative ideas in the field of design and digital fabrication. The selected projects, and the related manufacturing processes will now be inserted into our online platform and proposed on the market through a specific e-commerce website.
1st Prize – Wooden Furokishi designed by the group formed by Yuko Ishizu (Japan), Xexaki Evi (Greece), students from ETH Zurich.
2nd Prize – Aleph by Massimiamo Lorenzo (Italy), Arturo Tedeschi (Italy), Maurizio Degni (Italy) and Elnaz Ghazi (Iran).
3rd Prize – Robotic Surface Manipulation by Peter Sprowls (USA) and Rossitza Kotelova (Bulgaria) from Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
