The Valley contains offices topped with residences. The jagged, natural stone façade is defined via a parametric tool developed by architects MVRDV with Arup Amsterdam. This provided real-time control over quantities of daylight and sunlight, over structural limitations and required privacy. No two apartments are alike.

The building design by architects Park + Associates is imagined as a Chinese landscape painting, using composition of background, mid-ground, and foreground, to create a more layered visual experience. Purely visual pleasure translates into an experiential built form.
The property is boxed in by neighboring houses, with a lack of natural light and dampness. Locating facades set back from surrounding properties would allow more natural light, but the design would be an alien element into the neighborhood. Instead, the home design maintains the densely packed atmosphere.

The Z structures provides a public area for the modern Agricultural Park in Jinshan. The structure links multiple agricultural projects and provides different activities for visitors. The veranda, an essential element in traditional Chinese gardening, has been selected as the theme of the design.

Translation of a traditional Indian facade pattern (Jali) using digital simulations into an iterative processes to create a responsive built form. Sustainability is central to the design by Studio Symbiosis Architects, via optimized natural lighting, cross ventilation and heat gain reduction.
