The Paper Pavilion – radical retail in Singapore, an experimental, recyclable furniture showroom concept involving the use of recyclable materials and novel technologies designed by student designer Larry Teo.
From far away, the building, designed by Matt Fajkus Architecture, USA, looks like a pavilion in the landscape as a structure to behold in and of itself, but from when close to the building it acts as deferential backdrop to function and a frame for views beyond.
A 2 million sqft building development comprising two high-rise towers plus new public spaces and pedestrian links through downtown. The buildings are in rapidly changing Transbay Area, close to Market and the financial district. They provide 1.35 million sqft of office space and 650,000 sqft of residential units.
