3XN’s design team was invited for the event which unveiled the 77.000 m2 project inspired by the Indian nature and Mumbai’s mangroves. Just as clusters of mangrove stalks seemingly braid together at the base, the two towers in this mixed use development converge at the lower retail floors, rising up to provide amenity spaces on the podium; and grow into the sky as a cluster of slender trees providing some of Mumbai’s most thoughtfully laid out residential accommodation.
Design: Khosla Associates. The brief for this house was a well-articulated document that delved into the nuances of how this family of 3 wanted to live. The family, comprising an entrepreneur-industrialist, married to a bohemian writer and with a teenage daughter, wanted the house to reflect the diverse range of their lives.
The clients required privacy from staff and casual visitors. They needed a peaceful oasis from the stresses of life.
Design: The Purple Ink Studio. The structure is situated at a major city junction in a dense urban fabric. Design brief: A contemporary face-lift to an old structure so as to regenerate the landmark. The project was to be planned for quick and easy construction to enable running of all three screens for the forthcoming movie releases.
Design: SHROFFLEoN. Situated on a heavily contoured site boasting of views overlooking the ocean, the project involved primarily the refurbishment of an existing bungalow with a major emphasis on the landscaping.
The second home, housing but three bedroom suites, finds focus in the creation of multiple outdoor zones of relaxation and entertainment, each with their own character, ambiance and usage protocol.
Design: Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. The recent inauguration of Mumbai airport’s new state-of-the-art T2 terminal reveals an impressive engineering and architectural achievement. The newly opened Terminal 2 building at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, is designed by the New York office of architectural firm SOM and built by India-based conglomerate GVK Power & Infrastructure Ltd.
Design: Horizon Design Studio. The brief for this project was to design a house for Mr Ved Prakash and his small family of two. Mr. Ved Prakash wanted to build his house keeping the ancient Hindu tradition, philosophy and “Vastu Shastra” (ancient science of Indian architecture) as basic principal and reflecting that in his house.
The new Terminal (T3) at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport is designed with many unique landscape features. Odyssey was awarded the Hardscape and Water Features work for this iconic project.
Odyssey was awarded the Hardscape contract for The HYATT REGENCY in Pune. The principal architects Bilkey Linas Design and Landscape architect Joel Burega envisioned a tropical feel for the external area of the Hotel.
