Building for flag carrier and largest airline in Russia. Headquartered in Moscow, Aeroflot is one of the oldest airlines in the world, tracing its history back to 1923. Office complex “Aeroflot – the Russian airlines”

Three buildings are situated on the plot in one line. The main house is a two-storied building with a basement floor. It is faced with the light glass blocks. The massy wooden entrance porch turns into a wardrobe inside the house. The main facade is almost solid stained- glass window, covered with white glass lamellae. The back façade is completely open, with stone-faced fireplace in the middle.

The architects’ design for the Dance Palace presents an open and inviting theatre building with provision for 1300 guests (large auditorium 1000, small auditorium 300). Programmatic considerations focus on the spacious circulation of the public foyer and the transparent relationship to the surrounding public square and the city.

The “ARK” project was worked out on the basis of great experience of the UIA Work Programme “Disasters relief”. It implies the creation of a biospheric construction with an autonomous life support system. Building in areas without energy sources, in high seismic activity areas and also in the areas of possible World ocean level rise (the ability of a building to float and to exist autonomously on the surface).

The inspiration for this dramatic, twisting 46 storey building was Rodin’s ‘The Kiss’, and is possibly the first ever building to be co-designed by an architect and artist from conception.

One of the world’s most ambitious building projects, Crystal Island has been granted preliminary planning permission in Moscow. Enclosed within a vast mega structure covering a total floor area of 2.5million square metres – the project’s scale is unprecedented.

The cost of the project construction is £262 million (12.9 bln. Rub). Situated 26 miles southeast of the centre of Moscow, Domodedovo Airport is currently the largest airport in Russia and Eastern Europe in terms of passenger and cargo traffic and includes a railway station connecting it to Moscow city centre.
