House in Kurakuen II. The site is a special one in the Hanshin area, a sloping residential area facing the sea, and the form rises from the road by 7 m with an ascending slope of around 30 degrees.

This is a new 4 storey building located in a largely pedestrian lane (Ridgway place) at the East end of Melbourne’s CBD. Dominant in the lane is the historic Melbourne Club wall and the gigantic plane trees emanating from the Melbourne Club Garden which arch over the diminutive lane.
The Shed, in Tokavaig on the Sleat peninsula, is the home of Dualchas architect Mary Arnold-Forster, and is one of 24 projects from across the UK to have made the shortlist.
