DDC is an independent, government-funded organization established in 1978. The role of DDC is to act as a knowledge centre for Danish businesses in matters of design, to facilitate maintaining and furthering the Danish design tradition.

The Danmarks Nationalbank building was designed by the Danish architect Arne Jacobsen and constructed in the period 1965-78. It is regarded as one of Arne Jacobsen’s major architectural works.

Børsen, also known as Børsbygningen, is a 17th-century stock exchange in the center of Copenhagen. The historic building is situated next to Christiansborg Palace, the seat of the Danish Parliament, on the island of Slotsholmen.

The Deloitte Building is built in central Copenhagen in the Ny Tøjhus, close to city, Ørestad and the new Metro. Guidelines for all three new developments, of which Deloitte is the largest, are controlled by a strong masterplan with a dedicated urban architectural perspective.

Our overall impression of this Danish waterfront industrial building redevelopment: strong simple concept beautifully carried through at the macro scale. However the building is cold to the passing pedestrian, devoid of planting or soft surfaces, with no concierge.

Grundtvig’s Church was erected in commemoration of the great Danish priest, poet, and reformer N.F.S. Grundtvig (1783 – 1882). This monumental church is referred to in modern terms as a Gothic cathedral. Master builder and architect Peder Vilhelm Jensen Klint (1853 – 1930) died before the church was finished.
