Salam Yiti is a residential and resort located in the rapidly expanding Sultanate of Oman between the Al Hajar Ash Sharqi Mountains and the Gulf of Oman.

The development is around a 15 minute drive to Muscat, about 40 minutes away from Muscat International Airport, and minutes from Oman’s traditional business and hotel district of Qurm. Salam Yiti covers 420 hectares of land and climbs as high as 140 meters above sea level. The project is being developed by Sama Dubai at a cost of $1.7Billion and was originally scheduled (in 2008) for completion by 2013.

The Snøhetta-designed Muttrah Fish Market is created to serve as a focal point for the community of Muttrah, while simultaneously functioning as a hub for Oman’s thriving fishing industry.
