Ørestad College was built in immediate continuation of new legislation in the Danish educational sector in 2005 and is an educational building remarkable for its complete absence of class rooms in the traditional sense. At present, the gymnasium is the most-applied-for in Denmark.
The boiler house, located in the Border town of Melrose, demonstrates Womersley’s sculptural talent in designing with concrete, adding flair to functional necessity. The austerity of the design is softened by the care in the level of finish.
Situated in the East End of London, the Centre will house £2 million worth of state-of-the-art rapid prototyping and digital manufacturing equipment for use by architects, designers and other businesses.
